We perform an appraisal and, if necessary, an initial teardown of the vehicle.
Get the approval of the owner and the insurance company to perform the repairs.
Once approved, we order the appropriate parts and arrange scheduling of the job into the shop's work flow.
The vehicle is washed.
Panels that are to be painted are stripped of their parts and trim such as door handles, side mouldings and mirrors.
Major body parts are removed for repair or replacement.
New panels are installed and test fitted prior to painting.
After repairs are completed, new parts are test fitted to the vehicle to check both the new parts and the existing, repaired components for proper gaps and fit.
Next the prepper gets the new and/or repaired panels ready to accept paint.
Repaired panels are primed and sanded before they get their final colour coat.
New panels are sprayed with a protective sealer prior to their final refinish coat.
The painter checks the colour code of the vehicle and compares sample swatches to the original paint. The variant that most closely matches the vehicle is chosen and painting begins.
In our down-draft paint booth individual parts are placed on stands and the vehicle is masked and sealed off so no paint overspray can get where it shouldn't!
The colour coat is given a clear coat finish to protect it and give the vehicle a deep shine.
After the paint has baked and cured, re-assembly of the vehicle can begin.
The freshly painted panels are installed for the final time.
Lights, trim and hardware are re-installed.
The completed vehicle is checked over to ensure everything functions properly and it meets our high standards of quality.
The car then moves to the detail bay where it is given a complete clean inside and out and any necessary polishing is performed. The finished vehicle is returned to its owners!
